I'm now MRS. Kwon... but not officially because I haven't done the paperwork yet.
I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M MARRIED!!!!

The wedding day was wonderful in so many ways! The one bummer was that the guest were roasting in the "Hotlanta" heat and was a bit distracting. But, everything was beautiful! Thanks to the team of 25 who set up and decorated from JCA. My sister made my wedding bouquet and all the bridesmaids bouquet while me and my bridesmaids worked on all the centerpieces and corsages and groomsmen flowers. I have to say that flowers were pretty time consuming when you don't get a florist, but I saved a lot of money and they were so so nice.

It was awesome seeing so many friends and family! The Korean buffet was delicious....

Being married has been really exciting. Dave and I are enjoying new things together like breakfast in the morning, never having to drive home alone when we are hanging out with friends and discovering a new kind of Oneness....

I Am Engaged!!!!

So happy to tell you all that I am engaged and getting married!
It happened on Friday night...

Dave and I were planning on going to a "Coffee House" that our church was hosting. I was getting excited because a bunch of people from our church were going to perform their musical talents. I got ready and as usual, I went to go coordinate rides for Emory students to get tranported to Tech. While I was there, Pastor Matt called me and told me that he thought it was a good night to go ahead and spend time with Dave instead. He sometimes will encourage us to do things outside of ministry stuff because he knows that we don't have a typical young adult dating life. This caught me off guard because usually Pmatt does this when he knows we have been going through stressful times, but recently Dave and I have been doing really well.
Five minutes later, Dave calls me to tell me he'd meet me at my place. On my drive home, I wondered, "Could this be the night!" I was not expecting it until an obivious ocassion like my birthday or Christmas. Dave is usually very predictable even when he tries to surprise me.
When I arrived home, I saw that he was waiting for me outside. He had a big smile on his face and gave me a hug as we walked towards my house. When I walked in there was an aisle of votive candles that led towards my art room. I just stared and was not sure what to do.  Dave say, "Why don't you follow the path?". So I walk into my art room and there is my easle with a white cloth over it and two chairs set up in front of it. He reveals a painting he made and interprets it's funny childlike symbols of the reasons why he loves me.
I laugh; the feeling is surreal that he is about to ask me to marry him!!! He starts to read a poem that he wrote.
I laugh more because the lines rhyme, some cheesy lines, some really profound, all heart felt.
The last line asks if I'll be his wife and marry him. I say yes! and he ask me why I am laughing.
Lastly, the ring comes out in it's black box. I can hardly see it in the dim lighting. I pick it up trying to see it then "oops" I realize that I shouldn't put it on myself, so I place it back in the box. Dave says, " why aren't you putting it on." I say, "I'm waiting for you to put it on me." He is nervous and bit akward at the moment and so am I (which is why I resort to laughter). Then finally, I see how beautiful the ring is. It is an antique replica of a ring I showed him that I really loved. I can't believe how Sparkly and bling bling it is.
We called our familes and close friends but hardly anyone is home at dinner time on Friday night!
Afterwards, we went to a fabulous restaurant called Canoe. There were three couples celebrating their engagement just in the one corner which we sat in. Later, I gave him a small gift that I had been preparing to give him on our preposal night (or Christmas which ever came first. I thought it would take him longer propose and thought I should just give it to him for Christmas. Also, I had just finished it's last touches that afternoon.  I grabbed it on the way out to the restaurant). It was a photo book of many of our memories and "first times" during our first year of dating.

The painting is now hanging in my living room and I'll have to tell that story for years to come.

Will post more photos when I get them. We had no camera that whole night so afterwards we went to Pmatt's house and took some photos.

Olah! Wow... I just figured out how to subscribe and see all who subscribes to my xanga and now I know how to add pictures!

So what can I say... it's been 6 months since I last wrote a thing.
The picture I posted is from JCA 1st Journey Bowl ever which is basically a crazy creative version of a mini Olympics. The young adult group which has grown into a wonderful group has established themselves as the YAM's (not that originally...adopted from GCC) and we named our group the Yamigos and hand designed our T-shirts while watching the lasted episode of Hero, where James Kim (AKA James Kyson Lee) a friend from BU plays a role weekly.
It's pretty exciting to see an old friend on tv!
Praise God for all the prayers through AMI, the Lord has blessed the young adult group with a lot of new faces who consistently come out to study the Bible.
I wore fake eyelashes so that I can imagine what it would be like to have long eye lashes.
People thought I looked scary.....heheheh.
